What a story bank is

Your story bank is your 8 to 10 best career stories, written down once. Each one has the situation, what you did, the result with a number, and your earned secret: the insight only someone who did the work would know.

It’s the raw material for everything in the interview loop. When AI tailors your resume, every bullet has to trace back to a story here, so it can’t invent anything about you. When you prep for a round, it picks the right story for each likely question. Your resume only fits a fraction of what you’ve done; the story bank holds the rest.

How to use this sample

1. Open a new Claude or ChatGPT session, upload the file, and tell it to read Jordan’s stories below. Jordan is the fictional candidate from the live demo. Notice that every story has a number and an earned secret.
2. Copy the blank template at the end and tell your AI bot to write your own. Aim for 8 to 10 stories, including one failure and one where you led without the title.
3. Say them out loud first. Talk through each story with an AI using voice mode, then clean it up. You’ll remember things you forgot you did.
4. Save it as a .md or docx file and tell it to review and use it before any resume tailoring or interview prep going forward.
